Statement of Faith |
The following is the foundation of beliefs on which Granite Classical Tutorials (GCT) is based. They are also the key elements of Christianity that will be taught and vigorously defended in various ways through all grade levels. The following statements of faith will be considered primary doctrine at Granite Classical. Other doctrines and issue are considered secondary and will not be presented as primary doctrine. When these types of doctrines or issues arise, they will be referred back to parents as the final authority for their children. Granite Classical embraces and operates from a Reformed biblical worldview. Certain moral issues may be discussed in light of current events, relevance, and their implicit inclusion in Scripture. While GCT tutors will take a neutral stance on secondary doctrinal issues, these moral issues will be discussed in light of Scripture. These issues may include but are not limited to modesty and purity issues.
- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent.
- We believe the Bible to be the only inerrant, authoritative Word of God.
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
- We believe all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary.
- We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone.
- We believe saving faith manifests itself in good works.
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
- We believe in the physical resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved to the resurrection of eternal life and they that are lost to the resurrection of eternal damnation.
- We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
